I've been away this past weekend (long weekend here) for a 3night Scrap Retreat and it was a wonderful opportunity to get heaps of fun things done. Leading up to the retreat, getting page kits ready to take away took over any spare time I had! And since returning, my family have needed my undivided attention too....so I feel like I've been away from the computer for ages!
I hope to catch up reading and catching the goss soon!
Here's my spot at the retreat (I've been going here since 2006 twice a year!)
Yep, I work in a mess! Its the only way I know how and to keep track of my 'stuff'!
Now to the projects ....
Art Piasknownic Sketch
Hannah receiving a gift of a book she dearly wanted from her big sister...
You can see by her face how delighted she was...
We were on our front veranda having a bbq
I just stumbled across this challenge blog... and it looked like fun!
The criteria was to use masking...I used masking in the lower right hand corner.
The lace doily in the top left corner was my mask.
Our Cupid in the garden
Found this fun challenge blog too... the criteria was to use 'domino's' in some way.
Used a little ticket stamp that was repeated and then painted white.
I'm really happy with the effect.
Get Creative Card Challenge
It's a colour challenge
I've stamped my image, glued in a few hearts, splattered ink and layered a sheet of vintage vellum which is textured over the top.
Also a colour challenge
Mostly I picked up on the circles... handstitched circle work.
Paige resting on a massive rock at Coles Bay
Ticked the criteria: Palm trees or leaves, beach photo, 2-3 beach embellies Its certainly much brighter than I'd usually do - its great to have a change
